MTN Yello Care
Teachers Training on AI Literacy
In June 2025, in partnership with MTN Yello Care, 100 teachers gained upskilling in Generative AI for instructors at the UNESWA AI Academy's Generative AI for Teachers Workshop.
This influential curriculum emphasised the value of data privacy and protection while providing educators with the fundamental generative AI abilities they need. When incorporating AI into their classes, teachers were instructed to protect personal information and acknowledge data privacy as a fundamental right.
As they reflected on this experience, the educators shared how AI has made their work easier and their students' education more engaging.
Following this program, the AI Academy will extend an invitation to the teachers to participate in an ongoing AI Teaching Community of Practice. Peer help, resource sharing, and updates on new AI techniques and technologies will all be offered by this platform.
